Story on geometry

After finishing the topic on geometrical shapes, I asked the children to make 2 characters out of the shapes and write a story. 
In grade 6 a girl created characters called 'machu' and 'pichu' and wrote a lovely story revolving around them! 
The story covered the vocabulary and the properties. 
Creativity of students never ceases to amaze me!

There are several models of discipline by different theorists. However, they can be broadly categorized  as (a) low approach, with low degree of teacher control and high degree of student control; (b) medium approach, with medium degree of approach for both; and (c) high, with high degree of teacher control and low degree of student control. How do we build school communities that develop the knowledge and competencies that are essential for living and learning in a globally connected world? “With increasing diversity and difference in today’s education, schools now more than ever constitute a microcosm of our larger society”.
