Angles and Shapes

Use the body... ask the children to demo the various angles and shapes using their body.
They can be solo or have 2 to 3 members in the group.
You can also play dumb charades through this - ask group 1 to give group 2 a shape to display and group 3 has to figure out what it is..
  1. Everyone participates
  2. It is a lot of fun as they grapple!
  3. Build the team feel
  4. They understand the properties 'kinaesthetically', an area sometimes difficult to bring in the math class
  5. Watch with hilarity as the ones not so flexible try to twist to show angle 90 degrees or bisector!
